Walkerville Artists Co-op
Address: 1974 Wyandotte St. E
The Walkerville Artists Co-op is a not-for-profit organization with over 35 local artists, artisans, and authors. We host a gallery and shop featuring paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, artisan body products, mixed media, fibre arts, and glass art.
We believe that art is a fundamental and important part of our society. Living with art and engaging with artists should be accessible and affordable to everyone. At WAC, we are changing the way the world experiences art. Our mission is to help established and aspiring collectors discover, learn about, and collect fine and fun art.
While art in the Windsor-Essex County area has shown remarkable growth in recent years, it can still be difficult for emerging artists to break into that scene. To help artists expand their artistic horizons, the Walkerville Artists Co-op has set up a free visiting artist program. The WAC program, now in its sixth year, gives artists an opportunity to display and sell their art in a professional setting. Participants also gain experience for future endeavours by setting up a display, planning an opening reception, working with other artists, and learning how to market their show with the assistance of current WAC members.
WAC offers limited edition and original works from the most recognised artists to the rising stars, and makes them available for purchase at affordable prices. Every single sale directly supports an artist. By collecting with WAC, you are helping to sustain creative culture around Windsor-Essex, as well as supporting an important organization, making the world a better place.
What makes us unique is that we bring the finest selection of artworks that reflect our time. We hope you will find collecting and living with art is something you will enjoy and continue to do for a lifetime.
