Rosalyn Raymont Art

Born and raised in beautiful Ontario, Canada, I have been blessed with a loving and supportive family, including my husband, four children, and three grandchildren. From an early age, I have always had a passion for expressing myself creatively. I graduated from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology with a diploma in Commercial Art. My studies have provided me with many opportunities to grow and evolve in my artistic journey. Always eager for new adventures, I lived in Russia for a year, where I was deeply inspired by the dramatic nature of Russian architecture and art. I began my professional career as a graphic designer, specializing in the beverage industry – in particular, winery marketing and branding. Most recently, I have set my creative focus on abstract art, which has helped reenergize my artistic vision, direction, and passion. As I pursue and explore this chapter of my journey, I am guided by the words of the great Vincent van Gogh: “One must work and dare if one really wants to live.”

Artist Statement

Abstract painting has become my creative sanctuary, allowing me to explore and embrace the beauty of imperfection. It has been a transformative experience, as I learned to let go of harsh judgments and open myself up to the unexpected. Through practice and exploration, I discovered my unique artistic fingerprint, which is beautifully showcased in my collection.

In my quest for balance, I turned to acrylic paint as my medium of choice. With its versatility, I was able to create soft edges and bold blocking techniques, resulting in captivating compositions. Inspired by the earthy wonders of nature, I curated a palette that became my closest companion throughout the creation process.

One quote that has deeply resonated with me during this artistic journey is by Lance Wallnau: "Every day is a fresh canvas. Paint something new." It serves as a daily reminder for me to approach my art with renewed enthusiasm, seeking inspiration from the world around me and expressing it through my unique lens.
