As a not-for-profit, fully artist-run organization, the mission of Walkerville Artists Collective is to cultivate a welcoming and accessible space for local emerging and established artists and artisans to connect with both the arts community and the community at large in the process of showing, selling, teaching, learning, and promoting art
WAC will have several artists on hand to demo their artform throughout the Open Studio Tour week-end. Notably, the following artists have volunteered to showcase their process. Currently on deck (with more artists to be added to the roster):
Friday at 5:00 - Sherry Gardner, loom weaving
Friday at 6:30 - Danielle St-Jean, fused glass
Saturday at 10:00 - Randy Belair, photography; and Joline Durlanescu, crochet
Saturday at 12:00 - Alma Hadzalic, painting with acrylics
Saturday at 2:00 - Debbie Mazar, mandalas; Adele Steinberg, abstract painting with acrylics; Arlene Dobson, woodworking; and Sherry Gardner, loom weaving
Saturday at 4:00 - Laurel Storey, CZT, the Zentangle method
Sunday at 12:00 - Leslie Harper-Reid, gel printing
Sunday at 2:00 - Arlene Dobson, woodworking; and Laurel Storey and the Tangle Club
